Terms of Service

Last updated 6 October 2026

These terms cover your use of Tiny Map, the website and app that turns map and elevation data into 3D-printable model files. Tiny Map is operated by Tiny Prints in Singapore ("we", "us"). By signing in or buying a plan you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy.

1. Your account

  • You sign in with a Google account. Keep it secure: activity on your Tiny Map account is your responsibility.
  • An account is for one person. Don't share it or resell access to it.
  • You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live to buy a plan.

2. Plans and what they include

  • Explorer (free): design and preview any place, and download one map a calendar month (UTC) up to 150 mm on a single plate, for personal use. Re-downloading that same map in the same month stays free.
  • Single print (US$9 one-off): one map area at Studio level, re-downloadable for 7 days from purchase, including the right to sell prints of that map.
  • Maker (US$19/month or US$190/year) and Studio (US$29/month or US$290/year): subscriptions with the features listed on our pricing section at the time you subscribe.

Features marked "Coming soon" are plans, not promises, and are not part of what you pay for until they ship. We may improve or change features over time; we won't take away a core feature of a paid plan during a period you have already paid for.

3. Billing, renewals and trials

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are set in US dollars; Stripe may show and charge them in your local currency.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Manage billing in the app; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • New subscribers get a 3-day free trial of Maker or Studio, once per account. A card is required. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the first payment is taken automatically.
  • If we change a subscription price, we'll tell you by email before it applies to your next renewal.
  • Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

4. Your model files and what you may do with them

The files you download from Tiny Map (3MF, STL, OBJ, DXF, IFC, GLB and the attribution file) are yours to use under the licence of the plan you had when you downloaded them:

  • Explorer: personal, non-commercial use: print it, keep it, give it as a gift.
  • Single print: personal use, plus selling physical prints of that map.
  • Maker: personal use, plus selling physical prints you make from your files.
  • Studio: everything in Maker, plus work for clients and selling or delivering the model files themselves to your clients.

On every plan you may not resell Tiny Map files as a competing map-model library or service, or redistribute them in bulk. A licence you held when you downloaded a file continues for that file after your plan ends.

5. Map data and attribution

Models are built from open data: OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, Open Database License), Overture Maps Foundation data, and the Copernicus DEM GLO-30 elevation model (© DLR e.V. 2010-2014 and © Airbus Defence and Space GmbH 2014-2018, provided under COPERNICUS by the European Union and ESA). Each download includes an attribution file. Where a source licence requires it, keep that credit with any model you share or sell.

Open data can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Models are artistic representations, not survey-grade measurements, and must not be used for navigation, engineering or safety decisions.

6. Fair use of the service

Please don't:

  • scrape, bulk-download or automate the app, or try to get around plan limits or download counts;
  • interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or overload it;
  • use Tiny Map for anything unlawful, or to make models that infringe someone else's rights.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we close a paid account without a good reason related to these terms, we'll refund the unused part of your current period.

7. Printing results

We check models for printability and aim for files that print right the first time, but printers, slicers, filaments and settings vary. We can't guarantee a particular print result or cover the cost of filament, print time or printer wear.

8. Availability and liability

Tiny Map is provided "as is". We work to keep it running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, slow, or unable to load data for an area (it depends on third-party data services). To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

9. Changes and closing your account

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll email subscribers about significant changes before they take effect. You can stop using Tiny Map at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected].

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute, without taking away any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
